Elaine Alaniz’s film, Forgiven & Set Free, was featured in a live broadcast on the KVMD TV Cable System Channel during the L.A. Regional Independence Day Celebration and Firecracker Film Festival. The Firecracker Film Festival was hosted by Casey Cruise and Tim Greenwood and featured guest appearances by well-known filmmakers in the industry such as Ray Bankston and Kim Bass.

Forgiven & Set Free won the student category in the festival and was touted by co-host Casey Cruise as being a film that treats the subject of abortion with dignity and grace. The film features interviews with both women and men who have been touched by the loss of a child due to abortion.

Through their shared experiences viewers see that while losing a child is never easy, the loss of a child that never was is heart breaking. Forgiven & Set Free is a remarkable short documentary that explores the aftermath of both women and men that have gone through the emotional pain of abortion and suffer or have suffered from Post Abortion Stress Syndrome. The documentary takes viewers through the healing process of Post Abortive women and men as well as brings awareness of the symptoms of Post Abortion Stress Syndrome.

Alaniz is the founder of Nahum 17 Productions, a Christian production company, and has written, produced, and starred in other short films and the popular Christian webseries, I Once Was Lost. Forgiven & Set Free will be available to view online in a few days at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0XkpcfGvRE
