I looooove to dance for the Lord. When I dance it's as if I become part of the music and my body is another form of communication for the words or music notes. I've been CALLED to dance.

I recognized that this was something I was called to do when my desire to dance consumed my thoughts. I would watch others dance and it would be as if I could see myself moving with them.

You see, my story is not like what most would expect... I didn't grow up dancing. Honestly, I didn't even have much rhythm, but I loved to sing and the way music could make so many people happy. Though I was part of a flag ministry at the age of 8 years old, my first real experience with praise dance took place when I was about 20 years old.

I would love to say that everyone complimented me on how beautifully I danced, I was told how mean I looked and that I needed to work on facial expression. Over the years that has evolved and I've come to see how the whole body is an instrument for God's glory. As a matter of fact, we are commanded to praise the Lord with dance.

If you believe you have been called to dance or you just love to dance for the Lord, understand that it is never too late to explore worship through dance. Join your church dance ministry, or you can start dancing in your alone time with the Lord.
