If you have found your way to this blog then you are someone who is creative and loves to worship God with your gift... But can God count on you to use your gift for His glory?

I was sitting in service today when Pastor Dorothy Tunnell of Light Outreach asked us this question and made me think.

For every gift we have been blessed to receive from above - singing, writing, dance, theatre, etc, there is a secular and often more lucrative side to it. I am someone who loves all aspects of the Arts. I have to be honest, at times I have been asked to take a part with a sexy scene in it, or I've been criticized for not having an R&B sound when I sing (honey, I sing like I'm at church all the time lol). The money would have been plentiful but at the end of the day I would have felt like I was selling myself short. On a deeper thought... I would be selling God short and tearing His kingdom down.

So, can God trust you to use your gift for His glory? I am a firm believer that if we serve God with our gift first, the increase will come.
