Joyell Johnson flowing in "He Reigns: Liturgical Ballet"

While dancing in front of a group of people can make some nervous, dancing under the urging of the Holy Spirit can be downright terrifying for a number of reasons:

1. Flowing is the Spirit usually means that the dance will not be Choreographed.
2. Often times, one will be urged to dance in a moment that many would not dare, or won't understand the reason
3. Sometime there is a question about, "Will people think I look stupid?"

Take a look at the video below.  In this short video I explore flowing in the spirit, show a clip of when I was compelled to break out from singing to do just that, and we look at 2 Samuel 6:14-20.

Understand that while moving under the unction of the Holy Spirit requires you to step out of the norm, this is what we are called to do as Worship Leaders. Here are a few tips for becoming comfortable with flowing in the spirit:
  •  Understand that Dance is a Language and communicates lyrics or the mood of music with our bodies.
  • Stay in Worship and Prayer so that you can be in tune with the Spirit when it tells you to move.
