Fred Hammond to form new Gospel Group, "UT."

According to Fred Hammond's Social Cam page, he and three other male vocal giants including Brian Courtney Wilson, Dave Hollister and Eric Roberson, will be forming a new group called, UT.  UT...first known as Urban Tenors and then United Tenors, has been in the works for a while and Hammond appeared to be giddy with excitement about the music being released soon.  At the taping of the video three of the members, Hammond, Wilson, and Hollister were meeting face to face to iron details.  Roberson was not present during the taping as he is currently out of the Country.

According to the video, the members are all tying up final legal dealings before the release of music.  For Hammond, the group is not about creating history, it's about worship.  To see the video go to Hammond's Social Cam Page: http://socialcam.com/u/04a39o6y#_=_

Deitrick Haddon remakes Usher's song, "Climax"

Recording artist, Deitrick Haddon, has remade Usher's song, Climax.   The video was released on Youtube, September 28, 2012.  According to Haddon's account:
"Deitrick Haddon's version of Ushers Climax!!!! The Re-versed Mix tape coming soon for all the 25/8 Haddy fans. Get ready for- free downloads of more of your fav hits rev-ersed Haddy's way @ DeitrickHaddon.com!!"

The lyrics are shown across the screen during the video. Has Deitrick gone too far with remaking this song?  When you watch it you will see that Haddon's falsetto is spot on, the lyrics are beautiful and clearly about Christ...but is it going too far to remake a secular song in the name of ministry? Would you "minister" this song in dance or voice?

Rapper 'The Game' Says, 'You Can Still Have Swag and Be Christian'

Jayceon Taylor, better known as “The Game,” recently spoke to Connecticut radio personality Jenny Boom Boom about his Christian faith inspiring him to create a new album titled, "Jesus Piece."   The 32-year-old rapper was baptized last year at Bishop Noel Jones' City of Refuge Church in Gardena, California.  He admitted that though he was baptized he has had difficulty letting go of his previous life.  Many can assume that his previous life is what he raps about in his music and it glorified gang life.

The rapper has been working on a Christian project.  "I'm calling it Jesus Piece," last year in August I got baptized and so I've been going to church, but I still been kinda doing me out here," the rapper told the radio personality. "I still love the strip club and I still smoke and drink. I'm faithful to my family, so I wanted to make an album where you could love God and be of God, but still get it poppin' in your life."

The Christian Post reported that while The Game opened up about being a Christian to Vibe magazine, the rapper admitted that he was not looking to put himself on a spiritual pedestal.  "I'm a Christian but I'm not 'holier than thou.' You can still have swag and be a Christian, you ain't gotta wear a suit to church, you ain't gotta take a bath in Holy water.  You can still have your Ciroc in the club, it's just a faith thing and making sure you try to do right. I'm still a father, I still smoke, I still rep Compton, I still might shoot dice or have a fight if I have to defend myself."

The rapper says his upcoming, Jesus Piece, project will give fans the opportunity see Christianity from a different perspective.  "Jesus Piece gives me an opportunity to speak about situations that people like me who love God but are still street and still wanna remain themselves without going the Pastor Mase route."

While many may enjoy The Game giving glory to God, it will be interesting to see how they feel about his philosophy on faith.

Anita Wilson's single, 'Jesus Will,' hits the Top 30 charts

Anita Wilson has sung her way to our hearts and climbed the charts with her lead single, "Speechless."  Not only is the new solo artist continuing to climb the charts with, "Speechless," but the soulful Worship songstress has hit the Top 30 charts with her single, "Jesus Will."

"Jesus Will," is a perfect blend of old and new styling.  "Jesus Will" was originally written by the late Reverend James Cleveland. Wilson took elements of this moving Cleveland masterpiece and spiced it up by creating a vibrant single.  "Jesus Will," can best be described as soul stirring with Wilson sultry jazz sound.

This new single that speaks of the goodness of the Lord is the perfect follow up to the love song, "Speechless," which was featured on Wilson's debut album, Worship Soul.  Speechless was also featured on the WOW Gospel 2012 album.

"Jesus Will," has been touted by industry greats such as Donald Lawrence who says, "Anita is a great, great singer who possesses priceless tone to her voice. Her debut album introduces a new genre. A soulful voice wrapped in songs of worship...Worship Soul. Don't sleep on this album."

EJ Gaines, Editor of GospelPundit.com & Gospel Today describes Wilson's talent by saying, "Anita Wilson perfectly delivers her own rendition of the James Cleveland classic, "Jesus Will."  She takes the traditional theme [and] adds some throwback soul and funk, and brilliantly revitalizes the tune for a new generation."

Wilson's ministry has no where to go up as she has appeared at events such as The Essence Music Festival in New Orleans, BET's Bobby Jones Gospel in Washington, DC,  the Trinity Broadcasting Network, Babbie's House in Atlanta, GA, the GMWA Showcase in Nashville, TN, Praise in the Park in Indianapolis, IN and recently in California and Las Vegas, NV.  For more information on Anita Wilson, log onto www.msanitawilson.com.
